The blog has been quiet for awhile, I am trying to figure out if I want to change this blog and update it or start a new blog. I miss connecting with followers of my blog, blogger friends, authors and publishers. I have been reading and have some thoughts about writing more and will blog about this soon.
This is my orchid that I have had for almost two years, it was a gift from a special family friend that is inspiring in her spirit and outlook on life as she is in her mid 80's and embracing life. This is the first time it has bloomed in the Winter and it definitely has brightened my spirits. It is in my kitchen and it greets me daily and makes me smile. I am hoping that it will bloom again this summer, and I plan to get another orchid or two this spring or summer.

Gorgeous...I have two orchids but no blooms at the moment, so I'm jealous♫♪ Am finding I really like the creativity found in photography so here's hoping you get that blogging spark back...My SS: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/03/pipes.html
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful -- the color is amazing! Here's my Saturday Snapshot post.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful - I've never had an orchid, and always imagined them to be summer flowering. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/9qx5t
ReplyDeleteOh, it is gorgeous! I just love orchids but have never bought one because I figured I'd kill it. It's good to see you back.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL. I had one too, but "killed" it. I am so bad with plants.
ReplyDeleteENJOY!!!
THANKS for sharing.

My Saturday Snapshot
Ooo, I'm jealous! My orchid dropped all of its blooms and hasn't started back up again yet.
ReplyDeleteOhhh that is simply divine. Even in the middle of summer on the other side of the world the sight of a flower in bloom (and blooming so beautifully) is inspiring and uplifting.
ReplyDeleteThanks I needed that today :-)
I have only had one orchid, and I killed it. :( Yours is absolutely beautiful. I can't believe it's 2 years old!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous pink and shape, I can see how that lifts your spirits each time you see it.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a stunning flower and I loved the backstory about how it came to be!!
ReplyDeleteI kill all plants but this lady at Home Depot told me to give my Orchid an ice cube or two every two weeks and because of her tip, my Orchid has been alive for over a year and has bloomed three times!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! I've never owned an orchid, but I've been seeing them wherever I go lately, and am admiring them more and more.
