I wanted to share this photo I took a few weeks ago when my husband, son and I went to a nearby park that has a gorgeous lake that you can see in this picture. It's a very peaceful place to walk and enjoy the nature and quiet. There is a walking path that takes you around the lake and in the summer you can rent canoes or paddle boats and take them out on the lake. It was a beautiful fall day and I liked how the blue paddle boats and canoes looked against the background of the lake. You can see the leaves on the trees beyond the lake just starting to turn colors. We had a late start to the colorful change of fall leaves here in Ohio due to the excessive amount of rain we've received.

Bonnie, this is a really beautiful picture. I love the fall colors on the trees and those blue boats (right - they are boats?) are just a splash of color. Wish you could send your rain to us. I don't know what we will do if we don't get rain this winter. We are on Stage 4 watering - which mean absolutely no water on the outside of the house - for any purpose. Sigh.

I love the look of the beached boats. Says end of the season for sure.

We didn't have a good color change this year. Cold temps and then strong winds and rain really made a difference. Looks like you had a beautiful day!

That is such a peaceful photo! Paddleboats always make me chuckle. My kids are so scared of them because my mother-in-law took us out on a lake in a paddleboat once and it flooded and almost sank. The water was only hip deep so we weren't really in danger. What makes me laugh is that my kids won't let my mother-in-law forget how traumatized they were.

lately I've been wishing I could pull over and snap a photo of some of the trees that are now changing. Some of them are losing their leaves so fast now!

Excessive amoumt of rain is one way of saying it! Hope you are enjoying the beautiful, rain-free day.
