Mailbox Monday: May 31, 2010

Mailbox Monday is a fun meme hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page. We share books that came into our house by mail. I've been limiting the books that I am accepting to review as I shared in a recent post, I have been in a reading slump. I feel overwhelmed with all the books that I have acquired and need to focus on those. I've even gone through my piles of books and TBR books on my bookshelf and am sorting through them. I shared a bunch with my book club friends and will donate a bunch to the library as well. This is what arrived in my mailbox this week:

Life Without Summer: A Novel

Life Without Summer by Lynne Griffin (A surprise from St. Martins Press)

Viola in Reel Life

Viola in Reel Life by Adriana Trigiani from Paperbackswap

A gorgeous set of notecards and bookmarks made by Paper Love By Brooke won from Trish at Love, Laughter, And A  Touch Of Insanity

  2. Interesting titles. I haven't read anything from Adriana Trigiani. I keep hearing very positive things about her books. Enjoy!

  3. I totally commiserate with you on feeling overwhelmed. I made a calendar for my summer months to get caught up on my ARCs and have really tried to cut back on them. I have so many wonderful books that I own that need to be read too!! You two books look great and I'm a huge Trigiani fan!!!

  4. I'll be watching for your review of Life Without Summer - hadn't heard of it before your post.
The Trigiani book was very different from her other books, but good.

I've cut back on review books and have challenged myself to a stack of books from my shelves (see my Tuesday, June 1 post).

  5. I've cut down on review copies, too. I don't think you're the only one feeling overwhelmed. I'm still reading as much as ever, but I'm finding it hard to free up time for blogging and reading blogs.

Enjoy your new books. Love the bookmark/cards.

  6. Bonnie--I apologize for not coming by sooner but I'm so glad the notecards made their way safely to you and I'm sorry I didn't get them out in the mail sooner. Life just keeps getting away from me! I hope you enjoy them!!
