It's Tuesday...Where are You? and Tuesday Teasers

I am in Mullaby, North Carolina with Emily who is sixteen. She has just met her grandfather for the first time and learns that mysteries are a way of life in Mullaby.

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.

Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page,
somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting
your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book

recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

"There! There it was again. It was a bright white light-a quick zippy flash-darting between the trees.  Gradually, the light faded, moving back into the darkness of the wood until it disappeared completely.  Welcome to Mullaby, North Carolina, she thought. Home of ghost lights, giants, and jewelry thieves. She turned to go back in and froze."

  7. Your teaser was so good and so lifelike that for a bit I thought you were talking about yourself! Great teaser.

I don't exactly have a teaser. Instead I have a quotation, from Emily Dickinson: "“Saying nothing... sometimes says the most.” Now, picture along with this quotation, a photo of a tree, which, believe it or not, depicts the condition of "Speechless." It's part of a fabulous book of nature photography "PersonaliTrees," which shows trees having well, personalities! Besides "speechless," for example, there's also "elation" and "enthusiastic" and "stoic." It's a great coffee table book, and very soothing to the spirit, I might add. Plus -- I saw this for whom this has already occurred, you just won't look at a tree in the same way again.

Happy Tuesday everyone. It is gorgeous where I live, and after a frozen winter I'm ecstatic. And I'm soon going to go for a walk and find a tree that "feels" the same way!
