- The Condition by Jennifer Haugh (From Paperbackswap)
- The Hour I first Believed by Wally Lamb (From Book Club Girl for the January On Air show with Wally Lamb). I was so thrilled to get this book as I am a huge fan of Wally Lambs writing. I have read all of his books with the exception of his non-fiction book. Also, this book was a signed, First Edition Copy which was an added bonus.
- Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen by Susan Gregg Gilmore (From Paperbackswap)
- Get Positively Beautiful:The Ultimate Guide to Looking and Feeling Gorgeous by Carmindy (From Hachette Books)
- Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual:For Everyone from Beginner to Pro by Bobbi Brown (From Hachette Books)

I also received the first edition signed copy of Wally Lamb's book. I can't wait for the discussion.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I finally decided to jump in on this post after reading it on several blogs over the past weeks/months. You can read my post here:

Congrats on snagging the signed Lamb! Very exciting!
The Wally Lamb book sounds great! I am supposed to receive the Bobbi Brown makeup manual sometime soon. I won it in a contest.
ReplyDeleteYou had a great week in books! The two beauty books are really good.
ReplyDeleteHey Bonnie.. what a good haul. I am jealous of the Wally Lamb book. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning.. :)
Visiting from Mailbox Monday posts. It is fun seeing all the different books people have gotten. I really want to get that Wally Lamb book -- I've heard it is fantastic! I read She's Come Undone years ago but never read anything else by him -- not sure why. Just think I lost track of this author. I've heard this is one of the best he's written. How lucky to get a signed first edition!
ReplyDeleteBonnie - I LOVE Get Positively Beautiful - Carmindy has such a positive attitude! I also really liked the Bobbi Brown one. I've just posted reviews on my blog and will be doing a giveaway in about a week for both. Here's my Mailbox!

Thank you for stopping by the 'mailbox' this week. This one caught my eye - 'Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen'. What a fun title.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I enjoyed The Hour I First Believed. I too have read all of Wally Lamb (with the exception of his newest edited collection of prison essays- I'm going to have to get a hold of that one. I did read the first collection, though- they're mainly the inmates whom he teaches telling their life stories, and you can really see the correlation between abusive childhoods and future lives of crime, it's very sad) and he's one of my favorite authors. Great week in books for you!
